The certification bodies planning to conduct testing and certification activities based on national qualifications are required to be authorized by VQA. They are required to fulfill the conditions for authorization stated in article 6 of the VQA Regulation on Testing, Assessment and Certification published in the Official Gazette, dated 15.10.2015 and no 29503.
As a result of the evaluations made by VQA, a preliminary contractual agreement for authorization is signed with the organizations whose application is found appropriate. For the organizations to be able to apply for authorization, they must be accredited according to ‘’ TS EN ISO/IEC 17024:2012 conformity assessment-general conditions for certification institutions’’ specific to the national qualifications within the scope of the contract. Those who complete the accreditation process apply to VQA for authorization. As a result of the evaluations made by VQA, ‘’ the authorization contract’’ is signed with the institution whose demand is found appropriate.
