DIRECT GRANT SCHEME FOR CERTIFICATION
The Direct Grant for Certification Programme in which the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (Ministry of Family Labour and Social Services today) EU and Financial Assistance Department was the Contracting Authority was one of the components of “Strenghtening National Qualifications System and Implementation of Turkish Qualifications Framework (UYEP-II)” project. Direct Grant for Certification Programme was started on May, 20th 2015 following the signing of the contract between VQA and the Contracting Authority. Protocols were signed with 34 Authorized Certification Bodies within the context of the programme.
With this programme, individuals were certified by the ACBs starting from July 20th, 2015. Starting from July 19th, 2016, new certification bodies were included in the programme as a result of the evaluations made in order to increase the number of individuals who benefit from the grant programme.
Information on Direct Grant;
- The total budget was 5.349.190 Euros.
- The implementation period was 24 months (20.07.2015-19.07.2017)
Direct Grant aims at:
- Certifying qualified workforce in the labour market
- Raising awareness on the National Qualifications System and the VQA Vocational Qualification Certificate
- Increasing the number of certified workforce and mobility of workers
The opening meeting of the project was conducted on February 02nd, 2016.
