EUROPEAN QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK - NATIONAL COORDINATION POINT AND NATIONAL EUROPASS CENTER PROJECT (2021-2023)

Our country's National Europass Center (NEC) is the Vocational Qualifications Authority. In 2008, VQA was assigned as the National Europass Center and started its activities as part of the National Europass Centers Network. VQA NEC is the first contact point for all individuals or institutions wishing to use Europass or learn about Europass. The Vocational Qualifications Authority is also the National Coordination Point of the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), and in addition to the preparation and implementation of Turkish Qualifications Framework, it is also the duty and responsibility of VQA to reference the TQF to EQF. The European Union offers grants under the Erasmus + Programme to support the activities of the National Europass Centres and the European Qualifications Framework-National Coordination Point. In this context, VQA applied to the European Commission with a three-year project proposal covering the years 2021-2023 and was entitled to benefit from the grant.

The European Commission has made a number of changes in the new term grant scheme in order to reduce bureaucracy and the workload in the projects. Based on this approach, it has decided that different projects carried out by the same institution will be conducted as one single project. In this context, the project titled "European Qualifications Framework-National Coordination Point and National Europass Center Project (2021-2023)" prepared for a 36-month, period covering the dates 01.04.2021 - 31.03.2024, will be conducted.

Within the scope of the European Qualifications Framework-National Coordination Point and The National Europass Center Project (2021-2023); central activities and budgets are planned separately. The project budget is funded by the European Union with the co-financing of the Vocational Qualifications Authority. All activities carried out within the scope of the European Qualifications Framework-National Coordination Point and National Europass Center Project are carried out by VQA.

Within the scope of "European Qualifications Framework-National Coordination Point and National Europass Center Project (2021-2023)", the following goals are aimed to be reached:

  • The skills and qualifications of the individuals in our country will be registered on the European common format by promoting the use of Europass tools and services,
  • Mobility will be supported by ensuring the recognition of the EUROPASS Portal and EUROPASS documents,
  • Access to business and educational opportunities will be facilitated,
  • EQF nad TQF will be introduced to the related stakeholders,
  • The implementation of TQF will be supported,
